Recognizing Products During Compliance Scans
The main purpose of doing a Compliance Scan is to capture and recognize products on display. This allows Delicious AI to measure the compliance of each restock to the expected plan or schematic.
- Step #1 of a compliance scan is to build and position the bounding box.
- Step #2 is to recognized to products on display. This guide will teach you how to perform this second step.
Green Checkmarks and Grey Question Marks
After positioning the bounding box over the display, push "Next" to launch Step #2 -Product Recognition.
You will quickly see green and grey colored cubes "flying out" and resting over individual slots or facings.
- Green cubes signal the app recognizes the product
- Grey cubes indicate the app knows a products is present, but it cannot recognize it
**Display facings without a cube are EXCLUDED from scan, lowering your compliance score**
Ensure that each facing is identified by the app with a green or grey cube
Auto vs Manual
There are two methods to recognize products during a Compliance Scan.
The Default method is Auto
- Auto mode automatically scans products in a video-like format
- Cubes "fly out" once the device is in the same location for 2-3 seconds
A user can switch to Manual mode by tapping the "Auto/Manual" button
- Manual mode resembles taking a picture by tapping the shutter button
How to Toggle Between Auto and Manual?
- During the scan, tap the "Auto" button on the right side of the screen
- The Auto button will then switch to say "Manual"
- The white camera button will then become tappable and an individual picture can be taken
- Tap the "Manual" button and it will then toggle back to Auto

Q: I am a new user - which mode should I use?
A: We recommend new users start on Manual mode for the first 2 weeks
Q: Can I switch between Auto & Manual whenever I want?
A: Yes, you can! Try out both and see which you prefer
Q: When scanning, I have a few facings that don't have cubes - does switching to Manual help?
A: Yes; in this situation, switching to manual and taking a few pictures usually resolves the problem.
Q: Can I take more than one (1) photo in Manual Mode?
A: Absolutely! Many find manual mode extremely helpful in situations where these is not much room to move around. They will take a picture of Self 1, a picture of Self 2, etc., due to the limited space available. The app will then combine all the pictures & their respective facings.
